Work-Related Illnesses
Work-related illness is a disease caused by a working environment factor that is not treated as an occupational disease. If a doctor suspects a work-related illness, they forward the employee to the occupational health doctor. During the health check, the employee should not withhold any important information about their health condition. The occupational health doctor notifies the local Labour Inspectorate branch about the work-related illness. The employee can notify the employer about the work-related illness to enable the employer to organize the prevention activities better, but the employer is not entitled to ask this information from the employee or doctor.
